About
Hello!
I’m Isha Chatterjee, a ceramicist and basket weaver based in the Adelaide Hills, where the natural landscape inspires much of my work. My practice is deeply rooted in the tactile, meditative processes of hand-building pottery and traditional basket weaving, both of which celebrate slowing down, craftsmanship, and the beauty of imperfection.
Through my work, I explore the intersection of form, function, and sustainability, creating small-batch ceramics and woven baskets that enhance everyday rituals. Whether it’s a hand-built stoneware mug or a coiled raffia basket, each piece carries the imprint of time, touch, and tradition.
I also love sharing my passion through workshops—offering hands-on experiences in hand-building pottery, and basket weaving. These sessions, set in the heart of the Adelaide Hills, invite participants to come, connect with natural materials, and experience the joy of making.
Whether you're looking for a unique, handcrafted piece or eager to learn in a pottery class, I invite you to explore the art of making with me.
