Perfect for beginners or anyone who’s dabbled in clay before! In this hands-on workshop, I’ll guide you through sgraffito, an Italian term meaning “to scratch.” This technique involves carving intricate patterns into colored clay surfaces. You’ll create your own unique dinner set by carving designs on four dinner plates.
What we’ll create?
You’ll carve beautiful, custom designs onto four pre-made leather-hard clay plates, creating a personalized dinner set. You’ll use specialized carving tools to etch your patterns into the clay. Your plates will be fired and ready for collection in four weeks.
